Context

As the Chinese economy continues to boom, more British companies are trading with, or investing in, China. This commerce is underpinned by the UK’s world class service industry, helping companies from all sectors facilitate business relations. Professional help is available for all aspects of trade, but UK businesses often don’t know where to look for the assistance they need.

Each year CBBC offices receive over 3,000 direct enquiries from UK businesses with questions about doing business in China. Most of these are related to issues best served by our service company members. Additionally, we arrange or participate in over 200 China related events where UK companies come to find sources of information to support their China plans.

CBBC would like to help better match those who need services with those who can provide them. We are launching the China-Britain Business Council Services Directory to help bring clients and services providers together, and to help raise the profile of our service sector members amongst manufacturers, exporters, traders and investors – all UK companies engaging in business with China.

Who will receive this Directory?

Printed copy - the hard copy will be handed out in all CBBC and UKTI offices both in Britain and China for day-to-day meeting with UK companies. It will also be distributed at the various events we arrange and attend. We envisage an initial print run of 10,000.

Electronic copy -the electronic copy will be available to download, for free, on our website, which is visited by 13,000 unique users every month. It will also be used in response to all relevant enquires we receive across our network in China and the UK.

Directory contents

Who is included? Paid up CBBC corporate members in the services industry will be included in the Services Directory 2011. To check your membership status or to join, contact Charlotte Zhang.

Information required: Company details include company name, website, contact details, and address. Companies will be listed alphabetically under a relevant business sector and separately listed geographically by office location. Please complete the registration form below.

Upgrades and advertising: There are options for making more of your entry by including your corporate logo, adding a detailed introduction to your business, and full page entries for advertorial.
